Order Processing

Orders are periodically extracted from Amazon, and saved to the FarApp server. Depending on your implementation, orders are then transferred to your business system, and optionally order-confirmation e-mails are sent to the customer.

Fulfillment Processing

Once an shipment is recorded in your shipping system, the shipment is transferred to the FarApp Server. Again, depending on your business software, the shipping and invoicing may at this point be transferred to your system. At the same time, a fulfillment e-mail may optionally be sent to your customer, and a fulfillment notification will be sent to Amazon. The FarApp server then continues to check that Amazon sucessfully recorded the fulfillment, and either records Amazon's sucessful acknowledgement, or issues a notification that there was a problem.

Product Data Transfer

Unique to the FarApp services is a rule-based product-mapping system which converts your product data into a format acceptable to Amazon. As long as you have your data in electronic format, and can describe rules for any Amazon-required fields which don't exist in your raw data, FarApp will convert your master data and post it to Amazon.

While the design goal of this system is to allow you to keep your master data in a single location, there are cases where you may want Amazon-specific values for some items. FarApp includes overrides for all fields, which you can maintain at your discretion. These overrides allow you to enhance your master data without disrupting existing data.

Inventory Updates

Amazon keeps its own inventory values for your items. If your only storefront is Amazon, then Amazon's inventory values remain valid for your stock. But, if you have several distribution channels, then Amazon's data may soon be out-of-sync with actual inventory. For some clients, this becomes critical during their busy seasons, where stock may not be replenishable in time to satisfy customer needs. If your inventory is available electronically, FarApp will keep Amazon's inventory updated on a regular basis. Inventory updates can include calculations, such as Actual - some value, allowing a buffer to avoid timing issues.

Repricing

FarApp includes a repricing module for those of you listing in competitive categories. Our repricer has a full set of features that let you control adjustment-amount, floor and ceiling amounts, and initial-price values.

Customization Included

Because your requirements are unique, and your mix of business software, store-fronts, and distribution channels are also unique, some customization of your interface is expected. We specialize in such customization, with the goal of automating as much of the process as possible. All customization is included in the basic subscription fee.
